From where I stand I see the sun.
And found at last the batlle won.
I wish to fight no more today.
I want these hard times to fade away.
I know that there is freedom there.
But I ask if you know where.
Where I stand and where the sun will rise.
This is where I'll open my skies.
I'll open the gates and enter through.
I'll try to hold them open just for you.
When we dance with all those stars
We will love the life that is ours.

I must agree with my fellow greeters that, although this is a well done poem, it simply does not meet the criteria for the contest.
Anyway - I did enjoy reading and hope you can come up with soemthing else that fits the guidelines before the contest closes

This is a lovely poem, but as catz and CookieZeal have mentioned, it does not fit with the contest criteria.

Nicely written. However, the meter's off and some of the words could be replaced with ones that would smoothe it down.
Primarily, however, this doesn not meet the contest rules and that is so very important. I wish you the best....TRy again! You can do it. Read the criteria very.. VERY carefully. Read some of the other entries. That always helps.
Welcome to the site. Warmly, CookieZeal -
This is a lovely poem, aiceybaby6, very nice. But I don't believe it's within the guidelines of the contest. There's still time to enter another one, though so I hope you'll do that.
