If You Are Lonesome . . .

If you are lonesome
And want something to do
Just pick up a pencil
And let it do the writing for you

The words will keep you company
No matter how big or small
They can be funny, or stupid, or dark
It doesn't matter at all

Write about anything
Happy or sad
Write about darkness
Or things that make you glad

Pretend you're a blade of grass
Swaying in the breeze
Or your brothers and sisters around you
Or even a tree

Imagine from another's point of view
Person, place, thing, or idea
Write about your inside passion
Whether it blind, or able to seea ( A lil' humor might spark an idea)

Oh, it doesn't have to rhyme
Nor flow perfectly
You can share it with others
Or just keep it secretly

But just remember . . .

If you are lonesome
And want something to do
Just pick up a pencil
And let it do the writing for you!

I don't find this awkward at all....it is so very true... sometimes I'm lost, I just pick up my purple pen and butterfly notebook and bam! It slowly gets better....

    awesome job

Writing always helps me. My pen just seems to have a mind of its own. Sometimes insane but none the less. I enjoyed this poem very much. Thank you for the great comment you gave me. I appreciate it. Queen
