Tongue-In-Cheek
You might
pose pouty or rotten
like a child long-forgotten;
bungee -fall on command
not quite sure you will land.
duck the safety and sound
on life’s merry-go-round;
grasp with saucer-round eyes
fingers clinching the prize.
But you’re saved for the Bank
in a dignified rank-
with some interest to glean
through hills and between.
You, the jewel cut and primed,
are a different kind,
carved in fire -potter’s clay
for that soon-to-come day.
Rocked and kissed by the Son
till
a magnificent one!

Such a beautiful write, and very thoughtful of a real master who simply believes in the promise of one unassuming star.
There are really some people whose beauty and brilliance we just can't ignore, and what adds to their glow is that often they are not aware of the star in them, there's no ego to consume the sparks from their rays. I think it's a good thing to always let deserving people know how much they are appreciated. It's like giving back the blessing that they have become to us just by being themselves; hopefully in that way, they may also experience the joy they are giving to others.
As to this poem, this is a star in itself. Everything in it glimmers and I can understand if one would be afraid to hold it.
You keep shinin'
joy

nice thoughts on claire. also a favorite of mine. kind of enigmatic, she is, but honest?---without a doubt. anyway. i liked some of the images and all that but i will say it's not poignant and resounding as much of your writing is.

A wonderful tribute to a person you obviously hold in very high reguard. Excellent rhythm, and great use of language. I liked the way it was broken up innto rhyming couplets. -Cate

Hello, I'm sober now so I can actually read properply
Sorry about that terrible typing up there anyway
I'm silly
Yeah, like I said - this is a lovely poem and I'm really flattered that you'd write it that's so kind and it really makes me smile.
Ha, ha - "pouty and rotten" mmmm well I hate having photographs taken so yeah I can see why you'd think that
Ah, I shall try to smile next time or at least look relatively happy and normal I suppose - I am happy anyway, very, very - I just can't stand cameras so I guess that's why.
Thank you very much it's lovely of you. -
Good. That's what 'grace'is. Undeserved favor. He sneezes at the other ones who think they are.
Anyhow. come back anytime. No response needed

Superb
What a wonderful tribute to our Clairvoyant Claire! I love Claire; she is dear to me, a dandelion I hold to my heart ... In her I see the wonderment of expression; the healing of dagger wounds by the ointment of honesty; the Forgiveness of a Father. She is hope in the new generation of poets. Claire is a Star within own orbit, within the Cosmic Plan.
Thank you, dearest Dianne. This is solar special. For a solar soul shimmering against a dark backdrop.
and
to you both.
