I talked to you just today,
We did not have much to say.
We tried our hardest and did what we could,
but we decided to end it,and for good.
When we first met we talked about our hopes and dreams,
but after seven years,it was like paddeling up stream.
I was so happy the day you gave me a ring,
but then we grew cold and said mean things.
For us, everyday became a fight,
and I would cry myself to sleep at night.
I realize now sometimes love is not enough,
And sometimes life can be really tough.
I am hurting now,but time will heal.
I am confused and I don't know how to feel.
One day maybe we can be friends,
but for now my heart has to mend.
