The Last of the Unicorn

Missing image
~by Gregg Rowe~

There was a unicorn from Eden

Whose heart was really bleeding

He asked the dear Lord

To please make one more

So that they could do some breeding.

Author notes

Based on 'The Unicorn Song' by the Irish Rovers and to answer the question why there are no unicorns today!

Haha this is humorous, though kind of sad. Very sweey and a nice write about poor unicorns and their plight. Good luck in the contest!

Was it just his heart was bleeding, or were other parts of him needing...something
    Another amusing limerick!

I love this... it starts off so mystically and dreamy... and ends so practically and simplisticly!

Aww.. I like this one. Unicorns are so beautiful. It would be absolutely amazing to see one. You have to have seen the movie "Legend"... OH! I love Tim Curry and the young Tom Cruise. An excellent unicorn film.
Anyway. Your poem is terrific. It makes me smile.

Dawnknight: these are sent to me by people here who know that I collect anything with Winnie the Pooh, Betty Boob, Lord of the Rings and Unicorns. I really appreciate the mail I get and find these types of pics, so if you wish to use any here, go ahead...it is about sharing. There is one BACKGROUND that can be shared with one condition and it is on my poem 'Listen as She Sews' on my front page of my AP Library.

Hehe, I love it. Very cute. Personally, I would have written the second line as, "Whose heart was really bleedin'", but then the last line would have to go, "So that they could do some breedin'". Maybe that is just me. Great job, Gregg. Good luck!
