Even though this is a bit late, I just wanted to say Im glad youre doing alright. I know how much life sucks when youre ill and cant really do anything about it. Good luck and I know lots of people say this but if you ever just need someone to chat to or whatever Im just a click click away Ill be more than happy to chit chat with you anytime as for the haiku I think its beautiful because in my opinion the sun is a symbol for my friends and the flower is myself and with my friends I continue to grow.. good job!

Not really a haiku technically (syllables etc.), but what the heck, it's nice.

Your haiku delights me because I have a special love for moonflowers. There is something about their aversion to the daylight, and love of shadows and darkness that poets can relate to. This is the first of your poems I have read, and I am impressed.

This is a beautiful haiku. I am sorry to hear that you have been so sick. My dad had that once (don't want to make a silly of myself and try to spell it, i am a med student so I should know how ) he had it in both lungs...spent a week in the hospital, but it took him 2 months to fully recover. Anyway, get plenty of rest and focus on getting well!

Such a gorgeous piece hun, for a gorgeous flower. You've definately picked the right one. Notice in the center of the Moonflower, the perfect star, representing all there is, the elements and spirit, universal power of purity and light, which is so what we all need, but you even more so right now, as you heal from your illness. We all await your return and send our love and prayers to you. May the Goddess wrap her healing wings around you and take the illness from your body, replacing it will perfect health and positive energies. Blessed Be I did you reading you asked me to do on your pic. I hope you like it and it is accurate, let me know. Here's the link hun www.allpoetry.com/poem/616320 Get well sweetie

    Moonificent!

Thank you for you kind words on my haiku. Oddly enough it is a full moon that has me awake this late - -so I worked on this haiku of a pleasant picnic fantasy to lull myself to sleep.

lovely haiku, Susan and the moomflower pidture.... I haven't seen one in so many years, but they are stunning.

I'm glad you're better and able to come home from the hospital...now...please take care of yourself. One of my sons' nearly died of pnuemonia a few years ago so I know how it can be, can get you down and drain you of every ounce of strength...physical strength anyway. I don't think anything could ever drain you of your faith, and that's imortant, especially right now.
    Take care

    Luv and
    Dee

    Beautiful and unusual.

    Dear Susan,
Beautiful picture of a moonflower. Friends had a bush by their front doorstep which is the only one I have seen in New Zealand and now they have moved. Love your Haiku (unusual 3/6/4 syllable scheme.) Hope you are feeling better soon - I'm still praying for you.
    Love and hugs, XXX Hugh.

    Beautiful

    Hi Susan:
I did love the Haiku. A very pleasant and beautiful picture of Moonflowers. The photo enhanced the Haiku even more. I also appreciate your message to your friends at AP. I am glad you count me in as part of that group. We all have been concerned and hope that your appointment with the doctor goes well for you today. Thank you for this beautiful write, both Haiku and comments. Bill

Hey, glad to hear you're out at least, I had pneumonia when I was really young, like four or so, so I can't really remember much about it.
Your poem was great, the symbolism you used in this was really good, and you managed to fit a lot of meaning into those three short lines. Good job.
