Vo-Ag

I go to vo-ag every day
I yawn and whine and sleep away
But my teacher still loves me
Because he kicks me
Hard you see
Because he wants me to succeed
I try so hard but it's still tough
Because vo-ag is such boring stuff
But still he's my teacher all the same
Yay for teachers
They win my game

When the time comes to introduce your baby to solid food, put a drop cloth under the high chair and have the camera ready--it's a priceless moment. Most pediatricians recommend starting with iron-fortified rice cereal, or another whole-grain cereal such as barley or oatmeal. (Avoid wheat products, which can trigger allergic reactions.) Dilute cereal to a thin paste with formula or breast milk, and feed your little one with a rubber-coated spoon. The first time out, don't expect him to ingest more than half a teaspoon or so--the rest will end up coating his face, hair, and hands. After he's had cereal for three to five days, you can start adding additional first foods, such as mashed bananas, applesauce, and pureed carrots one at a time. Wait at least three days before introducing each new food to pinpoint allergic reactions. Read more about introducing solids.

Age-by-Age Guide to Reading to Your Baby
Your baby isn't ready for Moby-Dick (or even Harry Potter, for that matter), but don't wait to introduce your child to reading. We'll help you pick out some appropriate books for your baby.

Take a Quiz: Test Your Knowledge of Postpartum Birth Control
Unless you're ready to think about another pregnancy, you need to use birth control now. How familiar are you with your options? The form you used before your baby may not be the best choice now.

Is It Time to Switch Pediatricians?
Sometimes the pediatrician you chose before baby was born doesn't work out. You may decide that your personalities don't mesh, or you may find that the office doesn't provide the service that you expected. We'll help you interview new doctors with our checklist of questions.

wow...uh, I guess its cool that you wrote such a poem on a teacher.. thats actually pretty awsome....and last year I took Vocational Agriculture... is that what vo-ag is for you? and yea, our teacher was cool...never once had homework and his semester test were too easy.. and ya, he was cool but I hated his class and I hate my school.. But I digress, I loved your use of words 'whine' and 'kicked' well, is that physically or verbally? but anyways.. good write

Awesome! Reminds me nothing of my school... but none-the-less, I'm liking it! Great flow, nice choice of words. All in all, I like it.

    Spunky

This is a really neat poem. I like the flow of it, it's really kool. Sometimes teachers have to be cruel to be kind and most people dont realize that they're just trying to help. Good Poem .

I think it's a good poem, a bit choppy on the flow, but I like it

Haha, I always disliked the teachers who woke me up rudely from my mid-class nap. I liked the flow and beat of this, nice and cheerful.

Well this made me smile. I'm a meany for keeping my students working, even on sleepy Wedsnesday mornings ... I do it 'cause even though they whine at me now, I know they'll feel so much better when exams come if they're prepared, and plus the 'real' world won't be such a shock if you already know how to put in the 'hard graft'. Nice poem; sometimes in life people have to be cruel to be kind .

    Thanks for the entry, suicide-angel
It's a pretty cool poem, it's a good teacher, I think, who'll push the students to succeed, both academicly and on a personal level....and what the heck, never hurt anyone to get a good old kick in the butt once in awhile

Good luck in the contest and welcome to allpoetry

Great entry, nice flow to it. Always liked the teachers that pushed students to do better...didn't like them at the time, but I like them now. Not sure if I would like a teacher kicking me

(I have absolutely no idea what vo-ag is though )

Welcome to Allpoetry, and good luck in the contest
