At His House

At His House

Calm and quiet set hearts
to rest upon still waters.
Trouble, strife and worry
left standing out of doors.
Here is peace abounding.
this place of stillness
sphere of hushed beauty.
Colors gently mingle amid
sounds soft with serenity.
Whispers of mercy sweet.
Love lingers here
overwhelming time
in a timeless tranquil realm
where life and dreams
settle into mind and spirit.
Endlessly dwelling in adoration
angelic choirs of adulation
sing in steadfast ecstasy
to the Majestic One Eternal
now, before and forevermore,
an abode of wall-less walls
Mansion of Endless Royalty.

A terrific setting for a vacation and a much needed rest. Reminds me of a much better and more eloquent version of my piece "He Walks with Me". More melodic. Would love to go there. Rose

I am so glad you entered. Since I am a bit behind in my reading the new entries, I printed them out to read sans computer. Good luck in the contest. Rose

if only this vision was shared among everyone who would wear the monicker "christian." unfortunately, there are so many that would rather use their religion to justify their hatred and intolerance. i realize the latter instance is not remotely biblical from the gospel perspective. but the actions of anyone will almost always speak louder than their words. there can be no doubt your spirituality is pure. you exude peace in every poem. i appreciate your voice. thank you, richard.

Richard! You always have such a beautiful talent with words. It is though this read flows like a fine brandy and puts soft gentle thoughts of ease in my mind. A very powerful, beautiful imagery you have painted here.

This is so nice! Very peaceful and flowing. It gets me relaxed, and also makes me wish I was there, too. I can here "Amazing Grace" playing in the background and it all seems so perfect...
