Chlorine Breath

Chlorine rushes through my ears
blocking distant murmurs.
All I can hear is your voice trickling in my brain.
Six feet deep
under your infatuated growls.
Breath departs my lips
Inhale
Exhale
Breath
and then not
as I bob incoherently through the bubbles.
I read your eyes
they dare to scream out,
'I love you so much!'
The sun rays splash on your back.
Nature's beauty,
created with respect to your soul.
Gravity releases me
as I cling to the waves
made by playful children
showing off their innocence.
The reassurance lingers and pulls my body to your's.
Kissing freely in the public pool, delicious.
This moment of may
on the brink of sweltering,
Heat rising and falling upon flesh.
Goose pimples grow as you run your nails over my neck.
True happiness,
I've never learned to know it before you.
In your absence I feel as if I'll never know it again
but, be still and bask with me between the water's safety.
Exposed to the wonder that is your skin to entwined with mine
and your lips entranced
always wanting just one more taste...
Taking my breath away.
Inhale
Exhale
Breath
But don't stop...
