Grandma's Birthday Present (Nonet)

Missing image
by Gregg Rowe

Grandma's turning one hundred today!

Snowy hair, wrinkled hands, lady

in red.  Sits in the garden,

sips tea.  Everybody's

eyes widen: a shrilled

scream!--Ash faces

as Boots brings

out her

bone!

    Tickled My Funny Bone!

Very clever, i'm sure grandma will laugh her socks off and, just how cute is the dog with his delicious bone.(haha) This is such a funny poem and I sure hope grandma lives to celebrate her one hundred and first birthday. Thanks for sharing and best of luck in the contest. Avril

Okay...You have me laughing my ass off...Now I know why I do not have a dog...And why my toy box has a lock on it! This picture is priceless! The writing isn't bad either but the dog gets a 10! Quick question...Male or female dog? Just curious?? Good luck in the contest!

    OMG!

OMG! I'm speechless. I'd heard about such party favors but had never seen one. OMG! Wouldn't that shock the ladies at tea or the Ladies Bible Class that meets in your home. OMG!

    Gregg,

I guess when you had your operation, no one removed your sense of humor, huh? This cracked me up, Gregg...was so very funny. I am wondering if Grandma laughed at all, or if she thought it was NOT funny. On the other hand...did she NOT know what it was? Thanks for entering.

As a visual thinker I saw what was coming before it came, and wish the picture had come AFTER the poem so I too, could have enjoyed the surprise. --Dee

I'm never making sexual jokes about my grandma ever again. We'd play around and say that she's hiding one of those in a closet or that she's goin' to a male strip club, but now I see that and I really don't wanna think about my dear, sweet, old grandma with one. This cracked me up. I don't guess the dog go to stay around for long after this happened huh? Off to the pound with him. Great job!

    hahahahahahahahahaha!!!

Oh my flippin lord! the picture had not loaded before i read the piece...so when i read it and went back up to look...well, somewhat like chasingtheday up there (hi Ian! )...i nearly spit my coffee (and what a nasty thing that would have been (i can see it now, coffee spewing out my nostrils all over your page!haha)

And all i can say is...DAMN! Your grammy must have had many children to have a "bone" that big in use. Holy cow...that would cause me to need surgical aid! lmao.
