The Salmon Runner

Missing image

She pawed out the
Trouser Trout
Much like a
Greedy Grizzly bear
Scooping salmon
From a
frosty mountain stream

Then, all nature could behold
The couched primordial please-sing
Scream-ing, "Depth Charge!"
"DIVE!  DIVE!  DIVE!"
But dive as he might
She put up a fight....

Oh yes,
It's really nice
Fooling around
With Mother Nature

Author notes

My favorite fish is...anything cooked hot enough to barely see the road for the steam comin' off of it, brushed with seasoned butter and a touch of garlick.

Those fish stories always get exagerated

    ew fish.

i think the two goldfish we have in our outside "water feature" are trying to mate. the bigger gold one keeps chasing the smaller black one (who's belly looks bloated) and trying to kick it out of the water.

    or maybe they hate eachother?

I recognize it is a little of a silly poem, but hopefully light hearted enough to be forgiven and maybe even laughed at by a few people. Peace through love. ET

Don't know if I like the premise of this, though I stand in awe of your skill. My fatal empathy always slides me into the river and into the salmon's skin, or whatever underdog is running.
