I am no fool

When your smile is all that can make me alive,

lips disunited, eyes aglow,
cheeks are raised and teeth in a row,

do not let the world sink in,
wolves all wear the same sheep skin,

I never forgot when I had you,
how much beauty I find in you,

though I tried to forget that I had you,
there are things I just cannot do.

though you were this to me
you were the one who set me free,

I remember you didn’t share my affections,
when your  heart was  torn into feuding sections,
the one you favored would later betray,
and so you say you die this day.

If that is true,
I must mean nothing to you,

if I be but blind I must keep myself chained
till I can see my heart untamed

I will be loved for myself or not loved at all
I am no fool, I won't take the fall
