The loss of you was too much for my heart
my first baby
Comatose at your funeral
Numb to everything around me
How the hell can I be here
how can this be real
A black heart for months to follow
Living my life without regard
But from time to time I could feel you
Nudging my soul
Come on momma...we can do this
Slowly I fell back into the habit of living
Started to let the sunshine in
My angel gently pushing me
Thank you
You carried me along with your wings of love

Thanks for entering
Oh this is heartbreaking... I have been in a similar position and it is the hardest thing to go through. Painful and as though your soul is ripped in two..
Thank you for sharing this, and living on..

awwww this is one to make anyone cry. I know that would be one of the hardest things in the world in recovering from.

Tears flowing for you
From one grieving mother to another only someone who has experienced this incredible loss can truly feel and understand this horriffic pain. To this day i cannot watch medical programs on preemies, i completely fall apart and sob like a baby as though it happened yesterday, the pain never goes away completely, just dulls some over time. My heart goes out to you always. Love and hugs wrapped around you forever. Chrissy

Oh wow. Your first child is always the best feeling in the world I think. I remember when my bestfriend lost her first child. She went into a deep deprission. I never thought in a million years that she would have came out but then one day she just turned around and was herself again. So I dont know how you feel but I know what your going through. And I'm glad to hear that your doing a lot better. But your poem is full of emotion. I could really feel it in your poem. Great job. Heather

very beautiful... my uncle was stillborn, so this makes me think very much of my grandmother, who i actually never got to meet. she died a month before my older brother was born... but i do intend to go see my uncle Sonny's grave the next time i go home to ohio...
lovely write. it's a very simple way of portraying that "nudge" from someone helping you to go on, while you feel you can't.

A write most women could relate to. An emotion no man could ever truly understand. The loss of a child is the worst thing a woman should have to face. I respect your strength at being able to see the sunshine and for sharing your heart with us too. You expressed this beautifully. Thank you for sharing. La x

This is beautiful whisper.. Your first baby means so much to you. It's great that you still have so much feeling. This baby is surely your angel. Looking over you every day and helping you on your way. A very lovely tribute to your wonderful darling. Great Job!! Good luck in the contest.

this is a very upsetting piece...my first two babies were miscarriages and it took me awhile to somewhat recover...but this is very inspirational to keep on keeping your face to the sun. thank you so much for sharing this piece, it is truly magnificant! thank you again. -
Awww this is so sad. My baby died when he was three months old from SIDS. It's horrible. I hope you have recovered or... at least are able to move on. Great poem though.
