My heart begins to race,
my mind to pound;
What does it mean?
is there something more,
something that's unseen?

Blaze and blast,
war is all around.
How could there be grace?
There can't be...
But what is it I see on His face?
"Amazing grace,
how sweet the sound"?...
Why do I hurt these ways
I feel unwound.
Far into my soul pours a deep cry,
My life's been turned,
but You... You still died.
"Amazing grace,
how sweet the sound."
This life I've been living,
I'll lay it all down.

This isn't actually a new one.. I wrote it probably about a year ago. But I'd like to hear what you think, i'm not sure if it's finished or not, but I'm open to opinions!

The first thing i did after i read this was scroll to the top and bookmark it...it's truely inspiring...
A few weeks ago i was listening to a song about Jesus dieing with lines about loving him with everything... and it suddenly dawned on me that sometimes when people sing along to them they lose sight of what it truely means... I wrote loads in my journal about it...my spirit was in turmoil because i was desperate that everyone would truely mean those songs... Let worship songs never just be songs... if we're gunna shorten the name we give them let us call them 'worship' ...
I love Amazing Grace... it's a song that will never grow old.. Truely inspired and always inspiration... what you've done here is truely unique... I pray God will bless you with even greater giftings...and that you will continue to use them as you have done hear...to be God's hands and touch peoples hearts!!

Amazing Grace How Sweet The Sound!! And now another Lost sinner has Been Found!! For Christ descended from Heaven and came to this Ground. For His goal was to teach us and show us how to be Heavenly Bound!! And for the Grace of God I now have Found!! This was great!! I loved every piece of this one. I wrote a part of a poem I wrote on this. But anyways, God is awesome, aint He?? Praise God for others like you who are not ashamed to stand up for the Gospel of Jesus Christ!! God Bless You!!

i agree with belinda, i like how you added stuff to the hymn, kinda like todd agnew, but way better. You should write some song.. notes...songness? song.. somethings... you should write some music to this lol. This was über excellente!!! God bless- Saab

Ash, ash... I see a typo! Third stanza, fifth line: "sould" should be "soul". But other than that... WOW, this is a great work!!! I'm glad you posted it! I liked the rhyming scheme, especially in the first stanza. Very good descriptions and everything. Great subject, too. Over all, I'd say it's pretty darn good! Well, see you tomorrow!
