A Dandelion Among Roses

A humming bird flowing through the crowds
She's a chameleon, being just what people want her to be
Every day the vultures circle above her head,
Waiting for her to break down
You never hear a complaint from her velvet lips
Simply her clean, masked, silk voice
As she carries on this charade
A dandelion among roses
Seen for the wrong reasons
She wishes to have the bravery of a tiger,
To be who she really is
Her gem eyes the stunning jade color
Hold such sorrow and pain
No one sees her crimson, rose red scars
She keeps them hidden
And later adds to them
Is she forever destined to remain the owl hiding in endless darkness?
Will she forever remain the painted picture she is now?
If for one day she could be the beautiful eagle,
Soaring comfortably and confidently through the sky
Only to return to the delicate dove
Forever remaining the Dandelion among roses
