ever noticed how everything starts with I
not what can be done to make your life better
but what can you do to make mine sweeter
what i can do to help myself
not what can i do to help you
ever noticed how poets look inward
never saying "oh pretty tree"
rather that tree makes me think of a
time i once shared with karen
and her daughter by the old lake back home...
truely great writers make you think
you are them, along for the ride that
is their poem
truely great writers can consume you with lust
for the life in the words
they wrote for us...

I really, appreciate this, and take it as a personal challenge to become more observant of the world around me. you may enjoy reading a few of my poems, some of them have nothing to do with me, but then there are others that are exactly what you have described here. I shal challenge myself to write more objectively on what I see!!! Thank you for the inspiration.
