Smoke and mirrors

take a deep breath
look around fast
and know in your heart that the moment wont last

kisses and raindrops
will all be forgot
this make me feel like the moment is naught

i watch you
lying there sleeping alone in your bed
not knowing the dreams that run through your head

fleeting is
the moment at hand
memories are all that is left and
they slip through like sand

Author notes

it's sad sometimes when you realize that every moment is gone as soon as you realize it's been a moment. Work sometimes feels like an eternity, but the time spent with loved ones goes by so fast that it makes my head spin. All i want is the time to show my friends and family what they mean to me. but every moment i feel closer to the end. not sure the end of what. the end of my life or the end of that moment... *shrugs*
