Man, not another load of those yucky dishes
Why could I not be a stove
The cluck of dishes on my bright white shelves
Wow those stick to high heaven, were the wash in the last decade
My name is Wash my mother was not very creative
I wonder if I could run away one night
Sneak out of the door as quietly as I can
Then my freedom comes as my pipes leak all over the white tile
I went to Dish party wow we had so much fun
Then the first sunbeams come into the room
Now it time to return to our jobs
I feel so bad the broken pipes are all over
Since I can not talk to people
I hope I do not get replace with a newer one
The price came high
A new shiny stainless steel sits in my spot
As I now sit in the dump

I can honestly say I have never read a poem about a dishwasher...but this is fab. I loved the originality and the gentle humour. I really enjoyed reading.

Poor dishwasher!I love reading poems written from the viewpoint of something else, in this case the dishwasher.I read that in some ancient cultures they believed that every object had a spirit so maybe dishwashers would rather party!Anyway,enjoyed this.Montey p.s good luck in the contest.
