Deep in the Catacombs of Hell . .

Missing image

I think that Hitler must be smiling

Deep in the catacombs of hell

For although the Germans lost the war

Germany’s peace . . Is going very well !

They will now lead Britain by the nose

As they control the EU behind the thrown

Through PM Herman van Rompuy

A Belgian . . who is practically unknown

Germany and France now march side by side

Pushing Britain and lesser countries to the edge

And between the U.S and the U.K

They will begin to drive a wedge

The United Kingdom is now in crisis

And they must be careful how they tread

As in this recent astonishing turnabout

The losers of the War – have won the peace instead !

Sadly Britain has surely lost its way

The corridors of power, have now become a maze

And the British Bulldog confidence of yesteryear

Has eroded, leaving John Bull in a daze

It seems that it is too late for us now . .

Our heritage has slipped between our fingers

And we must inevitably march towards the Euro

Whilst nostalgia for our Pound inevitably still lingers

I still hear the echoes of Mr. Churchill’s voice . .

Shouting  “We will never surrender”

My goodness . . a Belgian ruling over our country ?

Such a scenario . . was never part of his agenda

Yes . .I think that Hitler must be smiling

Deep in the catacombs of hell

For although the Germans lost the war

Their “peace” is going very well

One important aspect of your writing, no matter the subject you choose to expound upon, is that you always make your readers think about consequences they never, perhaps, imagined before. Very informative and timely, Scribe.

      My reports in rhyme

      Yes . . I suppose I am more of portent than a poet . . LOL
But sadly people often miss the moral and pick up on the grammar and spelling Haha. As they did when I wrote about the melting icecaps and coming of avian flu many years ago . .

I am now trying to establish a new charity which will work out of Cambridge UK and China – but we are having problems getting registration and planning permission to establish an office here in the UK, but it will come eventually.

Meanwhile the Chinese authorities are very excited by the project and a major university will head my project there.
