Once upon a cloudy day
walked a man
(his name was Ray)
Who thought the world forever dull
and the world thought him, forever dull
But what was it to be...
A little boy
no more than two
his sight had
sprung all life anew
with hazel eyes
and chestnut hair,
his cheeks a tinted
rosy fair
And so
once upon a sunlit day
wept a man with profound joy
wept a man, all for that boy
Who thought the world forever sweet
And the world thought him, forever sweet
For, (the angel!)
just like his wife
Whose death had cut him
like a knife
and yet the sight
so innocent, so pure
would bring the light back
in his life
A boy who brought back color once commonplace
A boy whose laugh was like embrace
And through the tears
Alas!
The man was smiling...

Brutally Nice
Dear Person Who Wrote This Poem,
First of all, there is the matter of my username: Adamastor. Isn't it great? Of course it is!
I would like to thank you for writing this poem, as it is a good depiction of pessimism, then later optimism. Children are one of the most powerful forces in the world. They bring joy, sadness, hapiness, love caring and stress. The only thing that could change this man you speak of was the birth of a child, or the presence of a child. Very Good.
The value of this poem is an incredable two, however, I cannot afford to give everybody all my points as I'm trying to comment on everybody, so I can only affor to mark it with one. Rest assured that TWO is the real value not one.
Thank You
Adamastor.
