a Dogs Life Homework In School Time

A DOGS LIFE

A puppy is an extremely attractive and yet deceiving.   What I mean by this is, that cute little cuddly puppy has many needs throughout its lifetime..

Food and water are only it's basic needs. Many people will buy a name brand food and hope it fulfills the nutrition their dog needs. To my dismay, I found out more than not, use fillers such as ground peanut shells. Yuck!

I really never bothered to read the label before. That was until recently, when I received a birthday gift of a toy chihuahua. She's so tiny and fragile. I find myself wanting to treat her like a human child.

Unfortunately that would be detrimental to her health There are many human foods a dog should not consume, with chocolate being one of the deadliest ones.

Also according to what breed you have, many different ailments could present at a later time.

They also need medical care just as we humans do.  They need to have their shots, just as our babies do.   Sometimes they get sick;  hopefully with nothing serious, maybe just an allergy to the common pest they carry, fleas!

They also give to us love and dedication. As a companion, medical science has discovered they can bring comfort and aid those who suffer such as in pain, or are just lonely.

Although they are considered by law to be property, many owners feels they are more like a human life.  I feel the same,  for when I loose mine, I cry and hurt emotionally.   I'd only be angry if my car broke down!

In comparison a dog/puppy survives by the same means as humans.
They need plenty of clean water and good healthy food consisting of meats, fruits, and vegetables.   They also need medical care and take medicines, some like we take.

For example, aspirin, but never Tylenol, penicillin, antihistamines and more.
They need immunizations against the diseases that affect them
Most of all they need love!   Just like all humans love is an important emotion in one's lifetime!

OK, class, today take a look at some non-human entity in your life and watch it for a while. This could be anything from a pet, a PC (or mac), a cell phone, a car, a teenager, or even a blueberry muffin.
In Forest Gump's simple "Life is like a box of chocolates," tone, tell me in 100 words or less what you can learn about life from that particular 'thing'.

Please tell me what you think
