The Sound of Silence

I love the sound of silence,
Like the calmness of the sea,
Where the wind beckons
    a ridge of water to ripple,
          and dance on the shore gently.

But I sigh at the sound of silence,
Like the rhythm of my aching heart,
As I softly weep when you leave,
      then, I hear nothing from you,
          yet, I think of you, I always do.

    What you beauty you have so perfectly expressed here with your words. It is smooth and gentle as it tells the tale. I adore this poem. "the sound of silence", what a wonderful thing to consider.
