Plastic people

Frank Zappa was right
Plastic people gotta go!

Have you ever been enjoying the day,
when a plastic person comes your way
and stinks the whole place up with cheap perfume?

Then gets all smiley in your face,
and starts jumping around all over the place
like they're the only person in the room?

Then starts talking like a first grade teacher,
or a holier-than-thou baptist preacher,
and talks down to you like you're only five years old?

and overreacts to the dumbest stuff,
until you've really had enough.
Those plastic people make my blood run cold!

I can't stand those phony posers,
pasty-faced, two-bit hosers.
just being around one makes me wanna hurl.

Just once I'd like to grab their throats,
rattle their skulls 'til their eyeballs float,
then dunk their heads in the toilet and give 'em a swirl!

Yes, posers can be pretty awful, in a way, most of us are like that though, perhaps not exactly like the people in your poem, but in a way most of us are fake sometimes, we all pretend to be someone we're not occassionally, to impress others, people we believe, and often they believeit too, are better than us...
This is a wonderful write, humorous and well written...
Good job, thanks for entering and best of luck! =)

    Too bad Zappa died

I saw the name Frank Zappa and I had to click! I love America's favorite libertarian, and I still play "Valley Girl" just for my entertainment sometimes.

As for this poem, I liked it. It was dripping with sarcasm and I can totally relate. They get on my nerves. As for the last line, *stellar*. This was a nice, simple, rhyming poem that I for once enjoyed. Good job.
