I choose my aloneness,
I am comfortable in it.
Accepting kindness, I smile and walk away,
searching for my quiet corner
to sit in and watch life pass,
with no desire to be a part.
Then why do I seek you out?
Your words, your voice and presence
put a smile on my face,
a warmth in my soul.
I have not the ability to stop.
There is an open truth, an understanding
of our dark sides, our lighter moods.
Nothing is beyond our sharing
and secrets do not exist.
Let me lay my heart
beside your soul and breathe,
while I find a busy corner in your mind
to stand on and watch your activity
that intrigues me so.
I go to a quiet place alone,
yet now, you go with me, and I am glad.

this verse stuck out to me the most, this is..im speechless..i would say the first two lines of this selected verses emobodies the love that women have for their spouse..its real, its passionate, its believable...Excellent write...

Your solitude can sometimes be very beautiful in poetry, Buddy.

Often when we feel being alone in our own solitude we do seek out those who even through listening to another human voice can bring peace at heart .This is a lovely pice for sure .

Lovely write. I think this describes a true, unconditional kind of love. One that knows no boundaries or restrictions. One that defies labels or convention. It could apply to either romantic love, friendship, or even perhaps parental love in some ways.
It is wonderful to read about something like this, to dream of something like this, much less to experience it. You are very lucky and so is she.
