Brown Mountain

Missing image

up on Wilson Creek swimming in the rain

feel if the world was still here or had  slipped away

drown your face in colds embrace

nature don't leave us

hold the fields ,valleys, trees oh tree

Stand here in this creek and feel  glorious

cold water, rocks , sand and life.

pray for Wilson creek, 23 miles long wild and wonderful.

discovered now by our Northern friends. We need to continue to stop the 200 mini estates planned in 2007. Driving out the natives from this NC wonder land.

You had me spellbound in just a few words. This sounds like a beautiful place. I love North Carolina. I hope it won't be developed to death.

    Love,
    Camille

Our life has passed this good place by. Now it's just a weekend excursion. These places aren't a place for visiting but for living, warts and all. Comfortable in their truth not their sophistication............but we want ease of living! Oh well!.....and well said and written.

Beautifully said. Real nature is disappearing fast and being replaced by what developers like to call 'Nature Parks'. BAH!!!! Just another pat on the head and a 'run along now sonny'.
Thanks for the dedication sis. I appreciate it and I'll try not to get on my soap box over what's happening all around us. It would simply be a waste of time and effort here. The truth needs to be taken to higher powers. The problem is finding higher powers who aren't owned by big business.
