I consider you
An isolated "incident"
And henceforth withdraw
From any misconceptions
You're so sure to formulate
About me

I use solitude
As a terrible barrier
Between the two of us
Waving an intermittent
Ultimately useless white flag
In your direction

It goes unnoticed
That, or is greeted with apathy
Which I understand
I must reflect
Lest I end up wounded
Lest you despise me more

But I refuse!
I can't be you!
Twisted, bitter, cynical
I'd rather house a gaping hole
Than your insufferable
Attitude
