I stand at the edge of the water.
the wind gently billowing around me
carrying the scent of the Rose upon its breast.
With each gentle gust of wind
shivers run across the face of the mirror
displacing and distorting my image upon its surface.
I breathe in the subtle, succulent, intoxicating scent.
I breathe deeply letting it fill my nasal passage ways
until it fills my lungs and I can breathe in no more.
My eyes dreamily close as I breathe out again
as the scent purges my body of everything but that scent.
Everything drifts away until there is nothing else.
Just Me
and that scent.
The scent that has become
My Intoxication.
My Fixation.
My Fascination.
My Passion.
My Obsession.
My Everything.
There is nothing more important than that scent.
The scent of a yellow rose tinted red.
I open my eyes and look back into the pools of water.
I blink and breathe in deeply once again
when my lungs are filled to the bursting I take a step and dive...
dive…
dive…
dive…
Into
Her
Eyes.
Please tell me what you think
