Swishing, swerling water spins
round inside the gadget.
I left on potato skins
and dropped in a magnet.
Hear that gizzly grinding noise
my dishes aren't so clean.
All that scratching sure annoys
does nothing for cuisine.
Time to get a newer one
with insides that are fixed.
It will sure be lots of fun
to see this old pump nixed.

I like this one it made me laugh. I wish us humans could get new parts. I do not have one. Looking at my dishes they are screaming at me to get done. Good luck in your poem.

I love my dishwasher because it hides the dirty dishes and keeps my countertops looking presentable. I know I need a new one because I am starting to hear some strange noises so I fully sympathize with your plight. Nice rhyme and story. Good luck in this contest. Peace, Liz

Wonderful, it was $285 just for the pump assembly, not withstanding installation. It was $300 for a new one that worked better. Thanks for the memories...works out that way a lot for appliances.
Peace

Dishwasher day here...new one installed, and yes, the pump was not worth fixing in the old one..Yay! Reminders that I do not have to prewash everything anymore....Twelve years and it is in the metal graveyard now...Amusing penning!
