she's not looking for another song to call her own

I apologize for all the cloudy skies that rain down on you. I can see, deep down inside, you're hoping escape will come your way soon. That all these stupid songs and stories about Prince Charming arriving on his white horse, that they'd vanish soon. They've just been another reason to fall asleep on top of a tear-stained pillowcase. After all, you don't want a prince, you want your daddy back. And no matter how high she sings or awards she wins, Taylor Swift can't promise you that.

And you always wonder - why can't life be beautiful? What happened to all those rainbows, butterflies, and smiling faces? Did they take that long of a vacation or is this their way of putting in their two-weeks notice?

I know that you are beckoning to be found and for something to ease your soul. After all the paths you've traveled, nothing has been able to make you whole. And if I could stop every tear from falling and make spring flowers out of scars, I would. But maybe all your late night pleas haven't gone unheard.

You just haven't taken the time to listen for an answer.

"Everything's gonna be alright."

Well. Damn. That's every failed fairy tale ending in a nutshell. Pretty rad ending though, thanks for that -whoever you wrote it for, yourself or a friend, it's good to see the words and know there's meaniing in it for me, too. Probably it's not the one you had in mind but it works out well enough.

It has a beautiful simplicity to it and adds a almost childlike innocence the way you talk about prince charming and Taylor swift. You penned perfectly the part about falling asleep on top of a tear stained pillow case.
After all, you don't want a prince, you want your daddy back.
This made me cry. Beautifully written, what inspires this?

It's just something I came up with. Although, there are some girls in my college that are going through things like this. So, observing that is probably where at least I got some inspiration.

    brilliant.

A beautiful peice of writing, I love how real it seems and the simplicity of it. The only thing is...And this may be me thinking too hard.
'After all, you don't want a prince, you want your daddy back'
what exactly is going on there? in the taylor swift song it was her boyfriend who cheats isn't it? and if she wants her daddy back did he leave with another woman?
did he abandon the character whos feeling this?
I'm just slightly confused at that. And who is the person saying "everythings going to be alright"
    A lover? a friend....a mystery person?
Don't get me wrong, The mystery surrounding the words is fantastic, it's why I want to know more into the storyline....It would be wonderful to read more of it.
Sorry if I'm being a bother, just please don't get mad at me Oh and I aplogise for my big ass comment

Well, this isn't based off "white horse", I just used elements from it. My point in using them was to say, she isn't looking for something to sympathize with, she's wanting change.
