Daisy-chains

When I am not in sleeping
beneath layers quilted time,
I chase away the nightmares,
making daisy-chains in rhyme.

After the white wash terror
breathes warm acids though my skin,
making daisy-chains in rhyme,
soothes my quick quivering grin.

During ghost silent lapses,
making daisy-chains in rhyme,
slowly music takes a shape
and begins the aging climb.

Making daisy-chains in rhyme,
when nightmares aren’t on patrol,
hides away my sanity
to give trapeze eyes control.

Well, I understand this poem all to well and I love it. The sanity of a man is as fragile as a baby's hand..I really enjoyed this poem and can't wait to read more! I love the quote by Poe, he and I are old friends...

    Peace & Love
