containing your smile

I wish I had a ladder
that was long enough
to reach the sun
unscrew the skies bright bulb
carry it up the stairs
into my little room
placing it in a globe
on my desk
for when its cold
to warm my fingers
for when its dark
to have a little light
but mostly
because it reminds me of your smile
and I miss you.

Aw, very nice poem. Very sweet, and you ignored the obvious truth of being burned alive by getting close to the sun, and that's a good thing. I like the line about building a ladder to the sun.

Very nice, and I liked how you ended it.

I like this so many times we want to save something and a smile is certainly one thing I would love to save. Especially someone we love and miss. Great write.
