Goodbye, Live On

Glancing up as I release you from my loving hold,
You float up and away on chill Winter’s breath,
Into the atmosphere, to be lost in fragile clouds
To experience new life, to watch the world unfold

This is my goodbye to you, my sweet
My heart goes with you on worn down feet
By your side it will stay- ‘til another brings it home.
