From Crush to Love

(Zak thought about how much better his life had gotten since he and Giran had confessed their love for one another. And now, Zak couldn’t think of anything else other than Giran. He thought about what they were going to do when he got back to the dorm.)
Zakane: Maybe we can play Legend of Zelda, the Four Swords…or maybe we can…
(Zak was interrupted when David, the small black and red dragon that he had thrown away from Giran, approached him in the Writing Class. Knowing that something bad happening was a good possibility, he packed up his book and papers and was ready to get out of the room, but David got to the table before Zak could get out of his chair.)
David: Hey you, you’re the one who stood up for Giran. Why? Why did you stand up for him?
Zakane: Because he is a friend of mine. And you were going to punch him while his back was turned. I don’t like people who attack others unaware.
David: Listen, you don’t need to get involved with him. I’ve known him longer than you have and let’s just say that you’re heading down a path of trouble the longer you’re around him.
Zakane: Hey, just do yourself a favor and shut up. He’s nice enough to me, so I’m going to keep being his friend…despite what you say.
David: I’m just giving you a fair heads-up.
(David walks away from the table, obvious that he had upset Zak. Although not many people knew a lot about Zak, everyone did have an understanding of his experience as a black belt martial artist. Even David knew that Zak could have snapped his arm when he judo-threw him. Underneath Zak’s small stature, there was a very strong spirit of justice and five years of martial arts combat training.)
Zakane: I wonder…was he just trying to get under my scales or…is there something about Giran that I didn’t know?
(Zak had that exact thought run across his mind multiple times through his class. But when the bell rang for the class to end, he was the first out of the class. He wanted to get to the dorm before Giran did. So, with a quick stop at his locker to put his books away, he made his way to his motorcycle. When he reached the dorm, he was relieved to find that Giran had not made it back yet. He ran into the dorm and jumped over to the computer to open up his paper. He wanted to make Giran believe that nothing had happened. Suddenly, he hears a loud sound outside the door. Giran walks through the door and sees Zak sitting at the computer.)
Giran: Hey Zak. How has your morning been?
Zakane: Good. It was kind of lonely, but otherwise good.
Giran: Aww, my little buddy was lonely.
(Giran walks over to Zak and picks him up from the chair, pulling him into a big hug. There was a small squeak sound as Zak’s chest was compressed of air against Giran’s large arms and body.)
Zakane: Giran…you’re…crushing me…
(Giran quickly lets Zak go, mumbling an apology and smiling slightly. Zakane gives Giran a fake glare before busting out in laughter.)
Zakane: You should have seen the look on your face!!
Giran: Oh yeah, well how about this?
(Giran grabs a hold of Zak and play chokes him, Zak being unaware of what Giran was actually planning. Zak suddenly feels something very cold around his neck and breaks out of Giran’s grasp. He touches the unknown item before looking in the mirror to find a leather belt around his neck. It was a leather choker collar that was black in color. There was a silver tag in the shape of a star with the letters “ZAK” inscribed on it. Zak turns to see Giran blushing slightly and smiling at him as he was starting to blush brightly.)
Giran: I got it made for you…do you like it?
Zakane: I…I love it!!
(Zak runs up to Giran and jumps up, hugging against his body. With his face still lightly red from blushing, Zak licks Giran on the side of the face. Giran, caught by surprise at how much Zak loved the collar, licked back.)
Giran: It looks good on you. Especially when you blush like you are now.
(Zak slides down off of Giran and reexamines the collar in the mirror, running his claws over the leather and the tag. Suddenly, Giran wraps his arms around Zak’s waist, pulling him into his own stomach. Zak, being the submissive type he is, just let his body give into Giran’s control.)
Giran: Wow, for you to be such a good martial artist…I never suspected you to be the submissive type.
Zakane: It…kind of developed because I was alone for most of my life…
Giran: Well, you don’t have to worry about being alone anymore. I’m here for you and I’ll always be here for you.
(Giran smiled down at Zak as he looked up at him, tears beginning to show in his eyes. Giran leans down and kisses Zak on the lips, pulling him closer to his chest. Zak closed his eyes as he felt the loneliness he had suffered from for so long just washed away along with the dark, looming thought that David had placed into his mind. He leaned into Giran’s kiss even more as Giran broke the kiss off and lowered his head down to Zak’s neck. Giran’s tongue began to rub across Zak’s neck, just below the collar, as Zak was lost in his lust for his large love. When Giran’s tongue reached the nape of Zak’s neck, he began to nibble at the tender skin, enticing a soft sigh from the small white dragon.)
Giran: Someone seems to be getting excited, isn’t he?
Zakane: It…feels….so…
(Giran lets out a lustful chuckle as he continues to bite at Zak’s neck, enticing even more sighs and groans out of him. Suddenly, Zak wakes up in the bed with Giran sitting up and staring down at him. Zak couldn’t help but blush and hide his face under the cover.)
Zakane: Sorry if I woke you Giran.
Giran: It’s ok, but what were you dreaming about?
Zakane: Well…it was…nothing…just forget about it.
(Giran gave Zak a small sigh before lying down with his face towards Zak’s. Zak looked over at Giran, whose eyes were shut tight. Zak lay back down and turned where he was facing Giran. Then, as quickly as a snake, he moved over to where he was snuggling into Giran’s chest and stomach. Giran just barely opened his eyes to look at Zak before smiling and laying his arm over the small dragon. Very soon after, both dragons had fallen back into the comfort of sleep.)

((The Next Day))
(Giran awoke before Zak did due to a loud sound that could be heard from outside the dorm. Getting a feeling that something bad was going on, Giran quietly stood up, making sure not to wake Zak from his peaceful slumber.)
Giran: I wonder…Is it David trying to pull something stupid?
(Giran walked into the main room of the dorm and looked out the window. There was nothing out of the ordinary and everything seemed ok. As he walked back into the room, he noticed that Zak wasn’t in the bed. He looked around the room before his attention turned to an open window. He quickly ran over to the window and looked out, spotting David who had climbed into the room and drug Zak from his slumber. The two dragons were arguing at each other before David pulled a blade on Zak.)
David: I wanted to keep you from getting hurt!
Zakane: I’m not going to get hurt! So put the blade up before you get hurt!
(David growls at Zak before rushing at him with the blade, threatening to stab him in the chest. Zak sighs before taking his defense stance, with one foot in front of the other and his hands in front of his face. Just when David gets close, Zak grabs his wrist and gives him another judo-throw, this time throwing him into a tree. Walking over to David, Zak kicks the blade out of David’s hand and picks him up by his shirt.)
Zakane: I’ve been trying to keep that from happening, but you just couldn’t leave well enough alone. Now, get off of the premises or I’ll report you to the school security.
David: You’re…making a big mistake Zakane Syrus Tsukishiro! He’s nothing but trouble.
(David yells to Zak as he leaves the dorm yard and goes back to the school. Zak shakes his head as Giran walks up behind him and spins him around.)
Giran: Are you ok?!?! He didn’t hurt you did he?!
Zakane: No, he didn’t and I hope he’s learned his lesson this time…
Giran: Just so long as you aren’t hurt.
(Giran picks Zak up bridal style and carries him inside the dorm, Zak not having the chance to say anything. Once they are inside, Giran kisses Zak very passionately, causing the small dragon to meep softly before succumbing to the kiss. After what seemed like an eternity, Giran breaks the kiss and smiles at Zak.)
Giran: Oh yeah, I got you something! Wait right here and close your eyes.
(Giran sets Zak down on his bed and runs to where he kept his valuables. Zak smiled as he waited for Giran to return with what he believed to be the collar from his dream. As Giran walked into the room, he had his claws behind his back and he was blushing unlike anything Zak had ever seen out of him.)
Giran: I’m not really good with this kind of stuff…because I never really had anyone I liked.
(Giran walks up to Zak and puts his claws around Zak’s neck, latching a black collar around his neck with a silver star tag that read “Zak” in gold color. Zak, even though he knew what it was, was still surprised that Giran went through with his plan. Eyeing the wondrous craftsmanship of the belt and the tag, Zak did not expect to have Giran hug him from behind. Then, he suddenly felt something cold and wet hit his shoulder. He managed to look out of the corner of his eye to find that Giran was sobbing on his shoulder.)
Zakane: What is it Giran??
Giran: I…I don’t want you to leave me Zak…everyone else hates me for my size…you are the only one to ever love me at all.
Zakane: There there Giran. You can trust me that I will NEVER leave you, no matter what.
(Zak turns in Giran’s arms and snuggles into the dragon’s stomach. He looks up at Giran, who still has some tears rolling down his cheeks. Zak reaches up and wipes away some of the tears before smiling at Giran and licking him on his muzzle.)
Zakane: You are the one who completes the hole in my heart, Giran. I’m not ever going to leave you. I will gladly give up my entire world to stay with you.
Giran: Oh Zak…I love you!
(Giran kisses Zak, catching Zak off guard. Then, as the kiss continues, the power in the dorm goes out.)
Zakane: Well, that sucks.
Giran: Or does it?
Zakane: Whatcha mea….Ohhhh!!!
Giran: I see that you understand what this means.
(Zak giggles at Giran’s statement before poking the large dragon in the chest. Giran chuckles and picks Zak clear off the floor, carrying him to the bed where they lay in each other’s arms, now treating the other as a “love” instead of just a “crush.”)

((Well, that’s the end of part 2!! I’ll try and see what I can come up with for a part three. As you can probably tell, Zak isn’t the shy little dragon he was B.G. (for those of you who can’t figure that out, it means “Before Giran”) but just wait until part 3 is finished. You will be surprised!))

The dream scene was very well done. And so was this story.
Although some of the sentences do seem to be cut off very abruptly, it all still worked very well. The ending was cute
Anyway, overall; excellent job. Can't wait to read part 3

Well, well, it appears that somebody has been improving while I haven't been watching, I must say. Though a personal taste, the length of this story has easily doubled from the first, and the characters seem a bit more fleshed out (if not still just a little vague). Even the RP style of this is starting to wear on me, though I'm still partial to alternate forms of storytelling.

Let's see... I want to give you a piece of advice. It's a bit of criticism, but I think it will help you make a good story amazing. Think about your own interactions with people, the nuances of conversation and how one reacts to a friend and an enemy and try to incorporate that into the storywriting process. Though they are dragons and obviously not human, I imagine that conversation is done much the same way. Figure out what a character's boundaries are and use them in all aspects of him/her. Zak probably wouldn't go out and sing karaoke in front of an entire group of strangers, so imagine your own response if someone tried to coax him (maybe Giran's a singer at heart, I don't know). But that's just an example, my brother.

Overall, above and beyond your first chapter. I'm glad you took my advice to heart and I hope that I can continue to provide you with words you find useful.

    Silent As a Spring Rain,
