Lonely coming in dirty leather doors
for a time I was a quiescent bore
but problems dropped on sawdust floors
after double shots life was not a chore
Jovial swills in many countless days
with memories old like the stained ash tray
bar fly on the wall never went away
I do not regret crazy endless stays
I met lively friends every late night
after two hours friends were not in sight
after ten pool games dawn arrived outside
I said bye to fly and went to sleep tight
Next week that fly had never moved or changed
looking real close I was sad but amazed
on that wall was bug in a sticky stain
it will keep thriving down memory lane
