The rose is hurt
Her beauty affected by tears
So much is hidden
Her color for me is fading
I water her all I can
The rose is hurting
She's hidden at the end
Of a long frightening maze
I'll walk every path
Till I save her from her pain
My rose is lost from me and confused
She shall hurt no more
As long as I am living
I'll do whatever I can
I'll go through the mending process
My dear, my sweetheart, Julianne
You mean so much to me
You've moved my heart
In ways I'd thought
It would never move again
My baby, my love, Julianne
I'm here for you
And I don't plan to leave you
I know you're hurting
But you aren't alone! Not this time...
Julianne, my rose
Worry not
I am here for you
I love you
My dear,
Alex
Author notes
I wrote this the day after my girlfriend told me how basically she "fell in love" with her French Exchange student, who left that day as well. The worst that happened, was he gave her a kiss on the lips before he left. This was also about 3 hours after I dropped them off at school, and shook his hand and hugged her and gave her a kiss and saw them off. (I'm 2 years out of high school). And no, it's not the French tradition kissing thing, as he is not a real French, moved there two years ago. So basically, instead of being the boyfriend who gets all pissed, and dumps her, I've stuck with her, things are slowly, very slowly, getting better.
