Along the path far less traveled. Through the realm of the Dryad.
He sought not but salvation from the nightmares that followed his every step.
The Demons that crawled beneath his skin oh so very thin. Contorting, and twisting, with every last step he took …
At the end of the day, this once god, Cast out by his pantheon brethren. Immortality stripped from the tattered remains of his spirit. Destined to live a mortal life as a Barbaric Human.
He couldn’t truly argue against their collective decision. He had been the God of War, and in some great attempts that lead him to his current path, The God of Blood.
But in his twisted mind, He did truly believe he would one day, Reclaim what he once had, and more.
He would become the only god. He would devour his forsaking brethren. He would become the ultimate among Immortals.
…
But for now, He would have to find out, how to survive in this world created by his kin, and himself.
He knew very little of this world. Beyond the Beasts of War whom he had the greatest hand in creating.
From the lowliest Army ants, to the roving demons on the plains and in the forests, in the seas, and guarding the Rivers. And at one time, he’d not have trouble dealing with him or her, as they would follow his every whim and command.
But the demons under his skin now, were proof enough that he had lost this talent, to control what he had created. And with every aching step, they twisted around a bit more, trying to feast on the remains of his spirit. He would need to find a healer soon, but even in his mortal body, even with his tattered spirit, he still had far more energy than any other beast on this plain of existence.
At this present moment, he was following a sapphire river. He believed he had once heard it called the Abadon. But did not know if that was from his kin, or the name that just floated into his mind from the memory of his favored concubine.
“Abadon, …my Abadon ’he thought to himself ‘ how I miss you … my only true regret …”
His name, as you have yet to learn, is Amnesia. A name from an ancient language as yet unknown, to the contemporary mortal races.
