I've got a story
I want to tell you
I swear to you now
It may or may not be true
About a little dog
So nimble and quick
Black as the night
Hair shiny and thick
You've heard of dogs
That hunt squirrel and hare
Birds and ground hog
But have you heard of my famous frog dog
He is black
So he can hide in the dark
Slips up quietly
With nary a bark
Big webbed feet
He can swim very fast
Not one single frog
Can ever get past
I will never forget
The one legged frog
He jumped in a circle
And came back to my dog
Large back legs
And teeth like a gig
Just a little dog
Not very big
Then one night
This very big frog
Rapped his tongue
Around my little dog
My little dog
Bit off his tongue
He stood there with a big ole grin
That frog tongue hanging off of his chin
So if you're in Kentucky
Just passing through
Stop in and say Hi
We'll have a frog leg or two

A frog dog is certainly an interesting concept. I have eaten frogs' legs many times - they are delicious washed down with a nice Muscadet. I have never eaten any part of a dog as far as I am aware, although I have certained eaten whale and horse (but not in the same dish). And if you can have a bird dog or a catfish, why not?
I see you reside in Kentucky and thus may I take the opportunity of saying, "Hi"? I have written a poem about that state and here is a link to it: http://www.allpoetry.com/poem/3146172 - I hope you will forgive me barging into your poems but I read an interesting comment you made on a poem about leprosy by a poet I admire very much, "Bible Lover".
