When I met you it was like seeing paradise
You were so perfect for me
You would hold me close and say you loved me
I could feel your love transcending my pain
I thought you were going to be a saviour
You promised to take me away from this Hell
So I married you, ready for the peaceful paradise
but slowly you changed
You cut me off from my friends
You became a tyrant, ruling my every action
when you wanted and I said no you would beat me
This is not paradise, not the paradise you promised
this is you paradise, a paradise of Hell
I will myself to fight through the pain and lies
I keep hoping and praying, but you could care less
This paradise is caught in an unwavering, ferocious storm
that will not ease
The sting of your betrayal, that I watched when you thought sleep had me, has left a pain in my heart.
Now, Darling, I am telling you that "It's over"
Because this Paradise is Hell.

I am always amazed by people who can write someone else's story. Sometimes it's easier to see things from the outside, but that usually just leads to preaching and trying to fix the other person. You have turned it into a tribute of love. She's lucky to have you.

It's a very powerful poem, and easy to connect with. You can just feel these emotions getting stormier and stormier, wonderful job!
