Nightmare!!!

I see the world
Clearer than I ever did
Am I just dreaming?
Or sleeping with my eyes closed
I see the world
In an hour glass
I see the words
Clear as water
Maybe I'm dreaming
Because when I open my eyes
Everything changes
I'm drowning in shallow water
Struggling hard to pull myself up
But I never reach the top
I only go deeper
1 day it'll happen
I’ll give and sink
Will they pay attention?
That I am myself now
Or will they throw sticks and stones
Just like the 1 who raised me did
I don’t know if I’ll ever know
If it's a dream or not
I guess I’ll just have to
Walk where the road will take me
Will I ever wake up?
Will it ever be over?
Now I have no fear
