release

The air is crisp,
the frost is fresh.

I stand on the edge of the sidewalk,
looking into the water.

Thinking if i could really hold myself under long enough.
If only I could stay under long enough.

Alas, I stare at the water,
watching my face dissapear into the deep.

With anger and frustration,
I throw rocks where I once saw myself.

The chilling wind blows my hair into my tears.
It chills me through and through.

I walk towards the cliff,
standing at the edge scared to fall,
but tempted to jump.

The wind picks up,
and rushes past.

I let go.

Such a release, so free,
no people, no emotions.

Finally free of my darkness,
maybe now I can be human.

Maybe now i can be happy,
I hope so.

The wind feels like it's blowing everything away.

Hopefully the ground will ensure that it all goes away.

Please tell me what you think
