Another Wall

We don't need more speculation
Psycho-babble and corporate speak
It's all a part of this mass hallucination
Where the law of the jungle hunt down the weak
Why can't we learn to leave things alone?
Instead of pulling down fences
Then building up another wall

We don't need more anti-discrimination
Political correctness and bureau-talk
We point the finger with character assassination
With our money talks and bullshit walks
What is it with our constant double-speak
When we're cutting down tall poppies
And building up another wall

The tower of Babel didn't do that well
When the lord took umbrage
And down it fell
Adam and Lilith were never compelled
Because when Adam complained
The good lord sent her down to hell
We just never, ever learn at all
Another case and another wall...

I like this. We build up more walls when one is torn down - how true. Thank for sharing your poetic talent in the ‘Walls We Build’ contest.

You've got good rhyme throughout the poem, though there are a few lines here and there that throw off the overall rhyme scheme. I suggest in line 11, "With our bullshit walks and money talks," because "money speaks" is a little odd.

    Overall very nice. =

If you want separation, here you go

said the Lord  (o.k. I said it )

Love it how you brokenly rhyme here =) it adds a nice flow, but doesn't overdo it (like I always do ^.^) It's a nice view on walls, being obstacles in our lifes that we create ourselves to our own worse. Good job!
