I thought I found you
I thought I discovered you
I thought you wanted to be found
I wanted you to find me
Tumbling blindly and carelessly
In and out of my life
Like a devious wind
Or a curious current
And like the wind or the current
As hard as I tried to hold onto you
The swifter you slipped through my grasp
My heart was numb
You said you loved me
But you told your friends
You didn't know what that meant
Honesty was never your strength
As quick as your beautiful eyes blinked
You were gone
Leaving me with nothing
but a refreshing breath of life
You made me hate
You made me cry
And you made me love like I had never known possible
I wouldn't change you even if I could
