Calmness sweeps over me with a wave of chill
Feel the salty breeze graze my face
Gently and soothingly it heals my aches
Blue surrounds me, filling the gaps
It seeps between my fingers and toes
Tugging me down, down all the way down
Adrift in an ocean were the top is in rage
Under the surface it's a whole new world
Watching the rough surface fight away
While I just drift peacefully into the depths
Darkness is morphing that pretty blue color
Feeling pressure against my head
Like two large hands, cradling and pressing
Directing my every movement
I'm the willing slave of water
I feel my body arch and slither
It looks so pale in the dark deeps
My mouth opens wide to take it all in
Water rushes my shell, ready for me
The element takes over
No longer can that roaring surface be heard
Miles away from where I sleep
It's the dark waters that close my eyes
Whispering of forever bliss
Just drift with me, it says
Stay with me, it commands
No longer will you feel the anger, it coaxes
Let us put our your fire, it begins
That's when I struggle.
