Simplicity Versus Complexity(silver)

I'm Hemingway and I should know
that big words stitch your mouth up so.
To write and let your feelings out,
pen simply and there'll be no doubt.

Now Mr Faulkner, bless the man
writes with such a careful plan,
how many understand his words
I think is really quite absurd!

My words are minimal you see
I make my point, not bourgeoisie.
You'll understand me right away
but poor old Faulkner weaves astray.

You need a shovel and a spade
to understand the point he made.
His words so often fairly bleak
emotions hard to get a peek.

Don't get me wrong he's really clever
in literary minds forever.
But emotions that weave in an out
really have such little clout.

Emotions penned simplicity
your reader quickly finds the key.
But using words of complex note
I have to say get on my goat!

Funny and concise! Love the rhyme and rhythm. But isn't 'bourgeoisie' a bit too big a word for Hemingway?!
    Good luck in the contest.
