Life comes too easy for the lucky
many bones to pick for the choosy
having way too much time and money
and too many days hot and moody

Fastened rigid with the likes me
squirming through workdays with slimy jerks
stressful for little praise or money
not imagining bonus or perks

To work happy in a goldfish bowl
with savings account of one dollar
finding discounts each dreary cold day
is the life of a grunt and scholar
