To Turn To Sorrow's Home - A thank you

Missing image
***A thank you to those brothers and sisters who sent well wishes

Woman, who travels to her sister’s side
must ride wicked black horse racing
towards a blizzard of Nor’easter’s wreck
that has been known to sink ships;
whether by sky, or land, or water,
must shed her ego layer by layer,
like dropping off clothing in order to rise
or drop below high-flying meteors
of other rising things, or be able to swim
below wounded belly-up believers
that she is wasting her time

But, whatever moves the moon,
or the sun, like sundogs or rings,
are ghostly hands helping to hold her or him
so a vanishing point does not darken
steps that are left without footprints,
nor that vacancy of night does not find even one
having to face a skyful of burst sputtering stars alone

And, even though there are craters,
deep enough for an ache to get lost in,
there is still a song in the rocks
that weep like springs on the face of a slick cliff
where collect a gather of green and growing things
where nothing should be – those are the sisters,
gathering to drink in the grace of grief
from a stone-faced woman who refuses not to cry

For, the woman who runs towards oceans’ edges,
with no fear of the tear and the tempest
between her and her bereaved hem,
is a sister to whales who took back their feet
in order to swim like porpoises rising on anguish
of a sea scrolling and foaming in heave of hurt

Whomever you are, however you came,
I am grateful for your headlong rush,
your brisk bend to lift me, your descending
from joy and justice in your own lives
to hover over me with a spirit that lit my way
as I slumped into near black hole of sorrow.

    Jus' for you, m'Lady.

    "I drip onto the carpet,
    my tangles
    with hot water

and for just a minute you see me naked,
    my eyes vulnerable and variegated
as they leak my tears into your daze.

    I wait...cemented to a red towel
as you look beyond my skin

    and once again Dear Friend,

    we mend each others fences
with tools of Truth and Understanding."

We Bless you for Blessing us,
    again, again and again.

    I personally thank you
for sharing your Heart and Soul
    with me... IU Carol, Nicky.

I was thinking this evening, this is the first time I have lost someone and not had ONE, not ONE, regret. Perhaps that is why this feels so peaceful!

ty, Kris...I have been blessed by so many...and I feel it..it comforts me through the days, like today, the day my youngest sister collects the ashes for our family ash day in July.

    Carol-
Once again you show us the heights to which we can fly, in love; the depths to which we can fall, in grief - but both are part of life, we have a cycle of life like all things.
One day this moment will pass into flight, a spirit will soar from within when the weight of loss has passed and the buoyant light of the love we have shared rises like an undeniable tide, to cover us with happiness, joy for what we have had...the blessings of the love we hold, the enduring bond between us and those we cherish... All the best to you now, and in the sunrise will surely come...Howard

Ty, pk, the sun shines as we speak... I have moved from the sorrow of loss to the gratitude for the three years I had of her.

You always write from the deepest depths of your soul making the reader feel every word.
We have been through much in the 10 or so years we have known each other but in this time I feel so much of your pain..
I hug you with arms of strength and with a heart of love.
Stay well and know that I am here for you always.
You sister in life and beyond,

You have always been this person before now, my Sister. It is only fitting that we should all rush to your side to light your darkened path. I love you, my ferocious, fragile Friend.
