Waiting Farewell

Beeps echo through out the hallways,
Reminding what is going on a few rooms away.

The smell makes stomachs nauseated ,
Leaving to get a break .
The chilly air slamming against the warm throats,
Exhaling the slow death that course through.

Chewing on coffee straws staring at the cold coffee:
The reflection portraying a mask,
Hiding the agony till it's over.

As they rush in and out the smell getting worse,
The noise getting louder.
Their voices of concern lacing around.
Hoping for once that they are wrong,
But knowing the painful truth that piles up.

Faking a smile,
Letting others know that it's okay.
Chatting and remembering the good times,
Never letting go the memories,
But also won't suffocate 'em with sadness.

As the world seems like it's going faster:
In reality it's going slower.
Making sure that no one forgets what's going on.

As everyone stops moving .
Silence fills the air.
Tension thick as can be,
Resting heads on one another.
Holding it all ,
Not letting it shatter till we're all alone.

Whispering quietly,
Letting air and wind transfer to the room.

    Heart Wrenching

It's a wonderful peice, and I know what a situation like this can feel like. You may want to read over your poem though, for small grammatical errors.
