Grim Reaper

The splitting sun, the soaking rain
The moon that shines across the plain
There we met the one for all
The one that comes at final call

All at once our life does pass
Through the hour of our glass
Our soul will slip and slide away
Our body drop and start to decay

We travel over rocks and stones
Through volcanic ash and molten groans
Till then the end we finally meet
A drop off earth into space's sheet

We fall and fall for such an age
The grim reaper with us at this stage
Till the gates of doom we greet
The devil roaming by our feet

With a crack of the whip and a fiery glance
We're ushered in in a state of trance
We're powerless now to avoid our fate
If only I was born on a different date.

    Welcome to All Poetry~

Impressive in execution and form. Rhyme and meter are tight overall.
The message is a bit disturbing but mirrors the down spiral of our
society and the choices we make herein.
