Clockwork pony stands all day,
lifeless and mindless broad and gray,
gears are grinding and time is winding
and life is wasting away.
Clockwork pony stands so still,
mindless and useless
stagnant with will.
The rhythm of chronology
is all that you know.
Poor little pony,
time passes so slow.
Desolate and barren
can you not unwind
wish you could click back;
control hands of time.
The lighting strikes
the thunder rolls
the rain pours down;
its uncontrolled.
You rust you wither
you tick you fade
you wish you wish
that things could change
the rain pours down upon your face
jumps into puddles and lands without grace
ebbing, decaying, hes fading away
the clockwork pony rests today.

This is outstanding!
You have done this prompt so well, its almost like a dark nursery rhyme.
This poem is disturbingly brilliant and dark. I really enjoyed reading it, I dont even have a favorite part, it was all very good. =} thank you so much for entering my contest and writing this for me. =}
