Defenseless and lonely
The young always strive
To be loved
To be appreciated
Just for someone to be proud of them
But it's always the same
People turn their heads in shame
Kid on kid violence happens then
Kids wanting to just fit in
Someone then believes in them
But then a 16 year old
He will never live again
In a grave
While his mother cries
Wondering why it was her son
His friends mourn
But this generation knows
Its nothing new
He was just apart of a family
People who finally cared
Mixed in too deep
Never to be seen again
Because now he's 6 feet
But we strive to be loved
Not so lonely
But in the end
The ones who neglect us the most
Are the ones who are left
Still wondering why
The end came to death
